Darius Jones Foundation Basketball Academy Mission: The club’s purpose is to prepare players to compete at the high school level players will be instructed in the individual and team skills necessary to achieve success in high school, including aggressive man-to-man defending principles and individual offensive skills. Special emphasis will be placed on the intensity, attitude, concentration and offensive skills. Special emphasis will be placed on the intensity, attitude, and concentration commitment necessary for success at the high school level. We are committed to player development, mentoring not sacrificing skills and teaching to win games and tournaments development. Eligibility: We are accepting players’ going in to grades 4th – 12th starting in the Spring of 2016. Players will be placed in practice and game groups based on age and ability. Program: Players will participate in two practices each week. Practices will typically last 1 ½ to 2 hours, include around 12 players, and be held at gyms in the Pittsburg, Antioch and Concord area. The activities will closely resemble a typical high school level practice session. The program will form teams of approximately ten players to compete in the MVP league, AAU Tournaments. Games are typically on Saturday or Sunday.
