Mission

The mission of the 43 Hoops Basketball Club is to aid in the growth and development of basketball players. We assist each athlete, not only in the development of their basketball skills, but also in the development of important life skills. We don’t believe that winning is everything. We feel that putting forth 100% maximum effort makes you a real winner. Once the results of the games are gone and forgotten, the lessons learned, and the sacrifices made, it is the experiences gained that will be remembered for a lifetime. These are the true measures of success. Of course, winning is something we strive for, but it is not our core development philosophy.

Foothill Hoops Youth Basketball Mission: We provide a high-quality, well-organized youth sports experience emphasizing fun, learning, confidence building and character enhancement within a safe and friendly environment.

The Flyers Program provides a high-quality travel team experience focused on physical and emotional player development without the baggage that may surround other travel/club programs. How we are different:

Our friendly, patient, yet highly qualified and accomplished coaching staff
A lack of politics. Dads don’t pick or coach the teams.
Our focus and dedication to all players, rather than an elite few
Opportunities for older players to join a team later in their development
A realistic and healthy dedication to the sport, embracing recovery periods and participation in other sports
While winning games is a goal for us, it is not our primary goal. Coaches will never sacrifice their principals in order to win a game.

The goals of our coaches are simple:

Provide the players with outstanding basketball training
Develop the character and confidence of every player
Teach players what it means to play committed, winning basketball

While our trophy case is growing, we don’t measure our success based solely on win/loss records. Rather, we measure our success on our players continued success after they graduate from our program. The Flyers have a long track record of success; graduating players have gone on to play varsity level basketball at Crescenta Valley, La Canada, Muir, Ribet Academy, Flintridge Prep, Village Christian, Glendale, and St. Francis High Schools.

GREAT vs AVERAGE
Players should take personal responsibility and understand that discipline, training, determination, willingness to learn, commitment, dedication, and sacrifice are what will separate them from the average player.

Each child will use his/her individual talents and will work within a program designed accordingly based on the information we receive in the enrollment application.

With our range of programs offered here at the Academy of Excellence, we are sure to have a program to meet your child's needs. Programs available include: Step and Drill Team, musical and entertainment, academics, and arts and crafts.

Each child who enters our programs must abide by strict rules of the Academy: staying away from gangs and drugs, and all must stay in school while maintaining a minimum "C" average.

We are very excited about your commitment to help your child be all that he/she can be through the Academy of Excellence. Your support will help us to serve all those who enter the Academy.

We are also recruiting volunteers to assist us in anyway with our various programs and we look forward to working with you and your child.

MTB MISSION STATEMENT

More than Basketball (MTB) is a program that goes beyond shooting hoops. It is a lifestyle that provides a passport for young boys into manhood. Our mission is to promote a lifestyle that uses sports to underscore the importance of maturing and personal growth into manhood. Our goal is to instill the value of academics first; teaching our youth how to behave like gentleman while enforcing a strict but positive code of conduct to serve as their creed as they move toward manhood. This will be accomplished by planting seeds in our children to promote Economic Development, Education, Health Care, Social Consciousness, and Political Awareness. Our youth will be exposed to a collective group of professionals whose ultimate goal is to water the seeds we plant in our children so they can make a difference in the world. MTB is about developing a community of go-givers and soldiers in the pay it forward army. Our children are from diverse walks of life and backgrounds who wish to experience different things. MTB is committed to creating a New Urban Renaissance: a new way of thinking, being, and doing, to elevate our community. And play some great, COMPETITIVE basketball at the same time!!!

Mission

The Newport Lightning Basketball Club was founded to provide a positive, highly competitive basketball experience for boys and girls in the middle school and high school grades. The Club’s middle school program (for boys & girls grades 3 through 8) is designed for the committed player who is ready to move to the “next level” of youth basketball, beyond existing programs that provide good fundamentals for younger players but a more recreational philosopy for the older grades. We emphasize the importance of experienced non-parent coaches, excellent facilities, and a professional communication and organizational structure. Our goal is to provide an environment for both personal and team growth that will prepare our players for high school competition, while introducing a high-quality club basketball option to the coastal Orange County area. We also have a Spring and Summer high school program for JV / Varsity boys & girls players.

We are an AAU member club (www.aauboysbasketball.org), affiliated with Planet Roundball (www.planetroundball.com), and began participation in AAU-sponsored leagues and tournaments beginning with the 2007-2008 season. Please check our website for updates or contact us at info@newportlightning.com.

Mission

“I GOT YOUR BACK!”
………a simple statement that is the tenant of the mission of NorCal Press. The tenant is present in everything we do, as our players are encouraged to support one another on and off the court. We encourage and demonstrate an understanding of family, team and community. Our players are also developing discipline through hard work, character and perseverance – all while having a great time playing the game of basketball.
What we do?
We are a small nonprofit organization focused on health and wellbeing for youth through basketball. We foster health and wellbeing for our youth through direction, coaching and mentoring. Our players are recruited or selected through tryouts and are taught advanced basketball skill as well as participate in strong conditioning. Youth work with established and experienced youth basketball coaches that have played basketball beyond high school. We are a member of the Amateur Athletic Union; therefore we compete at a level well beyond recreational youth basketball.
How we do it?
Our players meet at minimum, twice a week for hard work! Many of our players also work with individual trainers focused on position, technique or fundamentals. Our players elevate their game through competitive play and post-game learning, in partnership with our coaches – through wins and losses. NorCal Press also encourages community engagement by giving back through “sweat equity”. Our team participates in periodic volunteer efforts; listen to youth speakers, educational opportunities and more.
Whom do we do it for?
NorCal Press serves players from all over the Sacramento Region. We invite student athletes to be a part of NorCal Press. Grades are important! This includes youth from some of our most underserved areas – as we believe every youth should have an opportunity.
What values do we bring?
Our Coaches encourage our youth to internalize their parents rules and values, hard work, the concept of team, perseverance, the concept of family and how to be a good community citizen – all through the game of basketball!

Mission

OC Select Basketball is a non-profit organization created to provide a way for Orange County basketball players to play at the AAU level while building elite character and basketball IQ. Basketball is more than a game its a way of life that flows into family, work and school. OC Select strives build excellence in both individual character and basketball by offering year round basketball services with the sole mission of creating scholar athletes within the Orange County , Irvine and Newport Beach area. Here is what makes us different:

1. Learning comes first, winning comes 2nd
2. We are fundamental based.
3. We make cuts if players are not working on their game and others are passing them up overtime due to only having 1 team per grade level. We do not take everyone.
4. We are not a cattle call, we only allow 1 team per grade level (Players must make the cut)
5. Our programs success is based on how many players we help get on their HS teams by teaching them proper knowledge and skills required. To date 100% of our players have made their high school teams. Most at the the JV level as freshman.

We are proven program with our current 8th (2014-2015) grade level being ranked #15 at the GOLD level in So Cal. Our approach is to start young, teach fundamentals, minimize turnaround and keep our core players together. Our knowledge, care and service is dedicated to building solid teams through teamwork. Since 2012 all of our players have made their high school teams. Most making JV or Varsity as freshman. We play at levels which suite our current roster skill levels, but do our best to play against the most aggressive, skilled and well coached teams out there. Our philosophy is not based on wins and losses, it based on player improvement and measured by how many of our players make HS roster spots when its all said and done.
Our club basketball coaches are not only former players, but all have a minimum of coaching 4 or more successful years of higher level AAU and club youth basketball in Orange County and are proven teachers of the game. Being a former player does not always translate into being a good coach, so we always make sure our staff is experienced with coaching and working with youth.

Coach Kara launched OC Select in 2011 after coaching at the rec and All Star level. As he through the ranks he realized these so called clubs were just the good ol’ boys club coached by dads and built by dads. Although there were some good father coaches, the majority of teams were friends of friends and coaches sons. These kids were not learning much about basketball, but were considered club players. Therefore, as a High School coach Sarkis realized why players were coming in with low IQ and a attitude of self entitlement. He felt it was time to help players all over Orange County get back to the basics of hard work, earned playing time and no bias. Since then OC Select has grown to over 4 teams with 4 coaches. The unexpected demand and request for more camps and different services has allowed OC Select Basketball to continue the overall mission of making a positive impact. Utilizing more than a decade’s worth of knowledge, competing experience and sheer will, we have grown to build players who have succeeded at the high school level. To date 100% of our players who have played through 7th and 8th with us have made their HS teams.

OC Select is building a culture where parents and players are proud to be a part of program and understand our mission. Although we are still a boutique style club without major backers and multiple teams our talent level competes with the best of them. We have cultivated an empowering movement and culture which plays a significant role in our success. Select is committed to maintaining an environment where members can achieve growth from all angles, even players in our developmental program. Our program consists of driven, passionate-minded individuals who thrive within the culture of committing to excellence.

It is Rising Stars Basketball’s goal to make a positive and impacting influence in each basketball player’s experience here. We not only want to create an environment that would make them a smarter and skillful basketball player, but also instill life-long skills that would assist in making them a better, hard-working student and person.

In today’s extremely competitive basketball arena, Rising Stars Basketball has been an avenue to expose our local athletes to other travel teams in the valley as well as along the state. The importance of this exposure in the young age level has proven to be of great value as players may be ready to compete at the next level. It is a difficult jump for most from junior high to the high school level. Young players need to understand what kind of commitment it would take to participate in year-around travel basketball. Like everything in life, potential players must first display your skills, attitude and potential for learning.
GOALS:
 An opportunity for each player to reach their potential
 An opportunity to measure each player’s skill sets with others in our region
 Provide basketball instruction and drills multiple times per week
 Implement skills both ON and OFF the court
 Instill internal discipline in each of our players

Our mission is to help young athletes to play basketball at a competitive level. This is accomplished by providing a foundation in the many individual skills required to be a strong basketball player. Equally important, our coaches teach their players to use these skills effectively as a team.

Of utmost importance in achieving our mission for our youth members is that we focus on the development of our youth members as individuals and as a team.

Our program aims to teach young men the importance of teamwork by learning to meet, develop relationships, and work with new people in their lives to achieve excellence on the court - something that will be important throughout life.

Parents have a significant role to play in the Sac Lightning organization. We encourage open communication between parents and coaches, to help ensure that concerns about their child are appropriately addressed.

Team Esface is now best known as the largest AAU club program on the Peninsula hosting 21 club teams grades 3-12.; With an experienced staff of over 15 coaches Team Esface coaching is designed to help athletes develop "the right way to practice" so when they practice away from camps clinics or individual sessions they are equipped with technical skills nuances of the game and a proper training attitude.; Though we take pride in having the most high-intensity and high-IQ training and coaching Team Esface also believes that athletics and high-stakes competition is a ripe environment to coach positive attitude and therefore create an environment and teach values that instill positivity in children's outlook on and off the court.

Our goal is to develop fundamentally sound basketball players through detailed and dynamic instruction coupled with innovative drills allowing players to reach their full potential and meet their long term goals. We provide a comprehensive program that uses multiple approaches to enhance game performance. Our teams receive a combination of skill training, team practice and game time in order to create well rounded players with a practical skill set and solid understanding of the game.

Our program does not only provide an opportunity for amateur basketball players to engage in challenging competition but also provides an opportunity for players who desire to play collegiate basketball to get exposure to college recruiters. Our goal is to build teams that allow each player to demonstrate their strongest skill set in order to optimize opportunities for college scholarship offers.

Our coaches and trainers have a genuine love for the game and a true calling to work with determined and motivated young athletes. We take pride in watching our players grow into successful young adults. We strive not only to be coaches and trainers but positive role models for athletes, promoting life skills such as good character, goal attainment, and commitment though the game of basketball.
